A clear path
How it works
We keep the process simple and stay available if your adviser or institution has questions.
- 01
Start the assisted transfer
Open Life Church’s Every.org profile and choose the stock-giving flow. Every.org walks you through the transfer end to end.
- 02
Name the asset
Tell your broker the ticker and number of shares you intend to transfer. Confirm the recipient before authorizing.
- 03
Complete the transfer
Your broker sends the asset. Every.org liquidates it and grants the realized cash to Life Church.
- 04
Share your intent
Tell us your name, expected shares, and designation—never your account number—so we can reconcile the gift.
Why donors choose this
A complex asset can still have a simple next step.
Tax treatment depends on the asset, holding period, and your circumstances. Life Church does not provide valuations or tax advice.
- Give without first selling the shares yourself
- Avoid handling paper certificates or delivering them to the church
- Use an assisted option even if Life Church does not hold the asset
- Receive prompt follow-up when you share a non-sensitive gift notice
Assisted online transfer
Every.org receives the asset, handles the receipt and liquidation, and grants the realized cash to Life Church.

Planning a gift?
A quick heads-up helps us identify the gift, honor your intended designation, and thank you promptly.
Account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, seed phrases, or private keys.
Questions, answered
Before you begin
Should I sell the shares first?
If you intend to give shares, speak with your adviser before selling. Selling first changes the transaction from a property gift to a cash gift and may change the tax result.
Who provides the charitable receipt?
Every.org, as the charitable intermediary, is normally the charitable recipient and provides your tax receipt after the asset is received.
Why should I notify Life Church?
Brokerage deposits can arrive without the donor’s name or designation. A non-sensitive notice lets us match the gift quickly and thank you properly.
